About a year ago, we entered a new chapter bringing on Swedish Hill Winery on Cayuga Lake. This addition brought us a lot of excitement, learning curves, challenges, opportunities, and everything in between. As we’ve settled in and are learning the ropes around here we’re now ready to start truly making it our own.
Our refreshed name and new look reflect not only our new ownership but also the bright future ahead for Swedish Hill. We’re not here to erase history, we’re here to continue the story, but in our own voice. As with all of our Martin family tasting rooms, we welcome everyone; we believe wine should be fun, social, and a way to bring us all together. This bold, colorful logo helps us share that message. It’s bright, engaging and fun…just like us and just like how we want Swedish Hill to be.
We plan to continue producing the popular wines you know and love like our Svenska line and Doobie Blues while also creating new wines to discover. Throughout the year, you can expect to see us rolling out these wines with new packaging to match our new look, plus we’ll be expanding our hard cider line and moving them into 16oz cans. Another big project is the renovation of our tasting room, starting this week!
We are quite literally “raising the roof” on our current tasting room to bring in more natural light to brighten up our tasting space. We’ll also have an expanded tasting bar and more indoor seating. Worry not, we’ll still have our outdoor deck overlooking the pond and vineyards!
We’re still open daily for tastings and bottle sales during construction, so do not despair! We’ve set up shop in a temporary space – the octagon room! When you visit, simply enter through our side entrance to the right of the tasting room (from the deck). Renovations are expected to wrap up this summer – give us a follow on Facebook or Instagram to keep updated!
